  • There is a public Blue Badge parking bay available on Winchester Road about 100m from the entrance.
  • The entrance is stepped. 
  • There are 6 steps up to the entrance.
  • The steps are all a slightly different height and depth. There are no handrails. There is a small visually contrasting panel on each step.
  • The entrance door is manual and has a clear width of 1m. This door is held open during opening hours.
  • There is a small lobby inside with a second entrance door - this is manual, lightweight, and has a clear width of 95cm. As the door opens there is 1 step up into the building.
  • Inside the building is an entrance lobby with the library office straight ahead.

  • The standard toilets are all gender neutral.

  • There is a secondary staircase between the ground floor and a small section of the basement - this gives access to the library stacks.

Main seminar room

  • The main seminar room is on the ground floor off the entrance lobby. 
  • The door is manual, heavy and has a clear width of 75cm.
  • Furniture can be arranged as needed - the photos below show a large central table with chairs around it. Chairs can also be set out in rows if a lecture is taking place. 

LAC Room

  • The LAC Room is on the first floor. 
  • The door is manual with a clear width of 68cm.
  • This is a small seminar room with chairs around a central table.

  • This small room has a sofa, 2 low chairs and a small coffee table. 
  • There is a fridge in the room, and a small kitchenette just outside.
