The Knowledge Centre provides services to the University of Oxford Medical Sciences Division and the Oxford University Hospitals NHS Trust
There is step free access into and around the building.

The Knowledge Centre opens out into the lobby space of the Old Road Campus Research Building.
In order to reach the Knowledge Centre, there is a revolving door and a separate accessible entrance.
In front of the external doors there is an intercom to alert the staff to open the door for wheelchair users.
Once inside it is necessary to pass through the barriers into the main space.
The Knowledge Centre is located on the right hand side of of the main lobby space (opposite café tables).
The entire route is level access.

Building reception
The main reception is straight ahead as you enter the building. This is at a wheelchair accessible height.
Library reception
The library has an enquiries/helpdesk to the left as you enter the main doors of the Knowledge Centre. This is at a wheelchair accessible height. There is a portable induction loop available on the desk.

Accessible toilets
There is a toilet located adjacent to the Knowledge Centre (near reception desk).
There is a door (not assisted) that opens towards you before reaching the accessible toilet.
Users with dexterity or strength issues might need assistance.
Standard toilets
There are two standard toilet blocks located just outside the main library space.
They are located in the lobby on the ground floor.
Pass through the gates, after the reception desk ends turn right and the toilets can be found down a small corridor. These are suitable for all genders.

As the library is located on the ground floor there are no stairs and the entire library is level access.
There is a cafe located just outside of the library in the main lobby of the building.
There is a portable hearing loop, which can be collected from the enquiries desk.
The library can provide the following assistive equipment:
- Ten coloured acetate sheets
- Two daylight reading lamps
- Two magnifiers
Please ask library staff if you wish to use any of this equipment.
In addition there is one height adjustable desk and one ergonomic chair.
