The main entrance is on Parks road. There are large heavy double wooden doors. One leaf is held open during the day and is easily wide enough to fit a wheelchair.

At 11.00pm the doors are locked and entry is by using fob access or a bell. The fob contact is accessible for most wheelchair users. There is an entry phone to the left side of the gate with two cameras at different heights. The bell may be too high for some wheelchair users.  Access at night is through a cut-out door which has a high lintel to step over. The porters lodge is staffed 24 hours a day and the very helpful staff will open the gate for people who are unable to negotiate the cut-out door.

Once into the entrance lobby the Porters Lodge is on your left and up two steps. There is an inner metalwork gate with fob access and an assistance button which rings in the Porters Lodge. This is set at an accessible height for wheelchair users. Through the entrance gates Liddon Quad is straight ahead and Pusey Quad to your left. The accessible entrance to the Porters Lodge is in Pusey Quad.

Vehicle access is through large wooden gates in Museum road which are opened either by fob access or an intercom to the Porters Lodge. In order to use the intercom or fob access it is necessary to get out of your car. The parking opens on to Pusey Quad which links to all the quads on this site with either level or ramped access.

H B Allen Centre

The main entrance is on Banbury Road. There is level access from the pavement onto the site. Once on the site the Porters Lodge is slightly to your right next to some access controlled manual metal gates. Staff and students can access the centre via these gates if they have a fob. Alternatively there is level entry through the Porters Lodge which has automatic doors.

Vehicular access is via the service road to the north of the site which is accessed from Woodstock Road. From the parking spaces here there is a sloped path to a set of access controlled metal gates which lead to the back of the Quad. Once on site there are a series of gentle slopes and ramps around the Quad.

This gate is not powered but the porters are happy to assist if required.

Both sets of doors are access controlled and quite heavy. Neither set of doors are powered and some people may need help to open them. Both sets of doors open widely enough to admit wheelchairs.
